Example: the R-Link by Renault
R-Link is the fruit of a long-term partnership between Renault and
Tom-Tom. R-Link is an integrated multimedia tablet, controlled
via a touch screen and an advanced vocal commands system. It
brings together, on a single seven-inch touch screen, the different
multimedia functions in cars: navigation, radio, telephony,
messaging, comfort and eco-driving.
Renault would not have been able to handle this project alone.
In partnership with Tom-Tom, Renault was able to increase the
added value it brought to clients, to get to know them better and
to improve their overall level of service. This example illustrates the
role of the service delivery platform: Renault added services to its
products to boost the customer experience and to reduce
