The challenges of management: moving from commitment to operational measurement
The result of work carried out by the ‘Digital Management Metrics & Responsible AI’ group, this framework offers a common set of 64 indicators, covering the three dimensions of environment, society and governance. KPIs enable organisations to measure impacts, assess performance and monitor organisational transformation. They also help to align ambitions with the reality on the ground, foster dialogue between stakeholders, establish a common language and highlight the progress made.
A presentation booklet accompanies the ready-to-use Excel tool, which forms the operational component of the framework. For each KPI, it specifies, in particular, its description, its nature – impact, performance or transformation – its priority level and the degree of difficulty in terms of data collection and monitoring.
“We hope that this framework will help to foster a common language and shared management practices. For at a time when digital technology lies at the heart of organisational performance and transformation, measuring its impacts is no longer an option; it is an essential prerequisite for guiding action, informing choices and building a digital landscape that creates sustainable value. ” – Sandrine Racouchot, Director of Information Systems at Abeille Assurances, Board Member of Cigref, and Yannick Puget, Director of Operations & Customer Experience at iMSA, who lead the working group.
A method adaptable to each organisation’s level of maturity
Above all, the tool enables each organisation to select and prioritise its own indicators, and then organise their monitoring by specifying the unit of measurement, scope, person responsible for data collection, data source, update frequency, and the objectives and results achieved.
It is therefore not a list of 64 indicators to be tracked systematically, but a toolkit adaptable to the context and maturity level of each organisation, designed to facilitate a gradual and shared approach to responsible digital management.
